🌿 About Me
I’m Nancy Cowan — a registered nurse, musician, and naturalist who believes health doesn’t have to be confusing, intimidating, or buried under red tape.
I’ve worked inside the healthcare system long enough to see what helps — and what hurts. I’ve seen patients overlooked, overmedicated, and rushed through care they barely understood. I’ve also seen people light up when they finally get it — when they realize they have more power than they thought.
I bring a practical, whole-body approach to healing. I trust the body’s ability to recover when it’s supported with the right inputs — nutrients, rest, connection, clarity — and I don’t believe in medical authoritarianism. I’m here for people who want to take their health into their own hands, not just follow instructions.
I’m also a U.S. Army veteran. That part of my life taught me a lot about structure, chronic stress, and how trauma can shape the body over time — even in ways that don’t always look obvious. I don’t advertise myself as a PTSD expert, but I do understand the quiet weight of survival, and I respect it.
I believe serving others is sacred work — and I’m here to do it with honesty, grit, and respect.

I'll reply with a whole lot of anger, "Made my living as a tuba player!"

You might recognize this autoharp if you have seen my autoharp videos on youtube! How can a human function without creativity and outlets for their ideas?
Someday I'll have a campground up and running for retreats, grounding, camping, nature walks. In 2024 a tornado ruined what work was already done, so we'll have to regroup.

Let's have a party and paint all of our faces,
and then play music all night!

Using creativity is a great way to save on money and resources! As a music teacher I had some creativity but not much resources.
